2. eduroam Managed SP: status update

   • Pilot gate approved

   • Reminder: the service is NRO-driven - SPs always need an invitation

3. EAPLab - time to shut down?

   • at has served well over time, with at least three significant uses
     • sparrings partner GEANTlink
     • pushed Wi-Fi Alliance WPA3-R2 development
     • CAT features grown out of some of the tests
   • but use cases are going away, system ageing -> it’s time has come?
   • unless geteduroam has specific uses for it, consider it out of service (Stefan to verify with Paul)
   • Tomasz and Maja to save the backend generator scripts etc. so that reviving the service on a more recent setup is in principle possible
   • all of the domain supplicants.net going away, too - but let’s try to save the content into the eduroam wiki for archival purposes

4. CAT: future development musings

   • 3.0 can be very different
   • including new API -> OpenAPI opportunity
   • volunteers sought for future development; SRCE already has a volunteer - the more the merrier
   • preliminary arch documentation (on high level, for starters) is already on GitHub: https://github.com/GEANT/CAT/blob/master/tutorials/CAT Project Overview.odp
   • testing is time-consuming; so would a rewrite of the admin part. Also an option to drop some device modules in favour of geteduroam (esp. Windows)

• but on Windows, two separate profiles needed for technical reasons, so need a second name
• Suggestion: “eduroam” -> SSID-based config; “eduroam Hotspot 2.0” -> RCOI-based config
